ألوان البشرة 

البشرة ذات اللون الفاتح جدًا، وهي من أكثر أنواع البشرة حساسيّة اتجاه الشمس وفي الغالب يظهر على البشرة النمش ويكون لون شعر أصحابها أشقر أو أحمر، وعلى الرغم من حساسيّة هذه البشرة اتجاه أشعة الشمس وسهولة تعرُّضها للحروق، إلا أنّه من الصعب جدّا أن تتحوّل إلى اللون الأسمر.

البشرة الفاتحة ولكن بدرجة أقل من البشرة السابقة، وهي شبيهة بتلك البشرة ويظهر عليها النمش في الغالب، وتتعرّض لحروق الشمس بسهولة، وقد تتحوّل إلى اللون الأسمر ولكن بصعوبة كبيرة.

البشرة الفاتحة ولكن بدرجة متوسطة، وتتأثّر هذه البشرة بأشعة الشمس إذ تحترق بسهولة من أشعة الشمس، وقد تُصبح سمراء بالتدريج.

البشرة المتوسطة "الحنطية"،
 ويميل لون شعر أصحابها إلى اللون 
البني، وهذا النوع من البشرة حسّاس نوعّاً ما اتجاه أشعة الشمس، ولكن لا تحصل على اللون الأسمر بسهولة إذ نادراً ما يتغيّر لونها بفعل أشعة الشمس. البشرة الزيتونيّة التي تميل إلى اللون الأسمر الدّاكن، وتُعتبر حساسيتها اتجاه الشمس قليلة جدّا، إذ نادراً ما تحترق بفعل أشعة الشمس، ولكنها تتحوّل إلى اللون الأسمر بسهولة. البشرة ذات اللون الدّاكن جدّاً، وهي أقل أنواع البشرة حساسيّةً اتجاه الشمس، إذ لا تحترق ولا يتغيّر لونها عند التعرُّض للشمس
